LOS ANGELES—Spring Hill/Nine North recording artist Jason Crabb garnered the GRAMMY® Award for Best Southern/Country/Bluegrass Gospel Album for his acclaimed self-titled debut. Crabb accepted his first Grammy® Award at the 52nd Annual GRAMMY® Awards Pre-Telecast ceremony held yesterday at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

“The journey of making this record and sharing these songs with people across the country has been an amazing experience that I am so grateful for,” said Crabb. “Being acknowledged alongside the other artists in this category is truly an honor, and I also look at this award as recognition for the incredible songwriters, musicians and producers that contributed to the album. I give God all the glory.”

Produced by Tommy Sims, Norro Wilson and Crabb, Jason Crabb released last June and debuted at #1 on Nielsen SoundScan’s Christian/Gospel Christian Retail chart. The Tennessean heralded Jason Crabb “triumphant,” while MusicRow magazine said, “…this man is one of the greatest male voices of his generation.” Gospelmusicchannel.com, who recently named Crabb one of the “Top 10 Artists To Watch in 2010,” states, “…Jason Crabb is simply one of the most gifted singers in any genre.”

Jason Crabb has also achieved multi-format radio success. The project’s first mainstream single, “Somebody Like Me,” is receiving airplay at country stations across the US, while “Walk On Water” reached #1 on The Singing News southern gospel chart.
